Coalesce Journey To B Corp

We are in the very early stages on our B Corps journey for Coalesce. Staring with an initial assessment of where we're at.

First up our company governance. B Corps Governance evaluates a company's overall mission, engagement around its social/environmental impact, ethics, and transparency. This section also evaluates the ability of a company to protect their mission and formally consider stakeholders in decision making through their corporate structure (e.g. benefit corporation) or corporate governing documents.

In terms of sector, we'd be in the services sector, so quite a wide comparison to other companies. Under the heading of mission and engagement, ethics and transparency we're  performing well, but with our ISO9001: 2015 this helps put structure on our governance piece.

We still have work to do around locking our mission in and a few other elements but all doable.Goals on this section for this year would be:To work on  a specific rather than general commitment to positive environmental impact (e.g. reducing waste sent to landfills through up-cycled products) and examine how we can integrate social and environmental performance into decision making in the company.
